  • Description: Walk-in crisis and urgent care for mental health and addiction concerns. Staffed by LifeWorks NW counselors, peers with lived experience, and psychiatric providers. Short-term stabilization, safety planning, medication evaluation, and connection to ongoing care.
  • Access Notes: Walk-in, no appointment. No out-of-pocket cost (may bill insurance if you have it; free if uninsured). Interpreters available. Recommend calling crisis line at 503-291-9111 first to determine best option for care. Located on MAX Blue Line near Hawthorn Farm station.

Mobile Crisis Team

  • Description: Team of clinicians who respond in person to people in crisis, 24/7/365. Available for children and adults. No charge.
  • Access Notes: Request through the Crisis Line. Interpreter services available.
Mental Health Response Team (MHRT)
  • Description: Pairs specially trained law enforcement officers with mental health clinicians to respond to 911 calls with a mental health component. Often avoids ER visits and criminal justice involvement.
  • Access Notes: Dispatched through 911 when appropriate.
For bystanders: If you see someone in a mental health crisis who is NOT in immediate life-threatening danger, call the Washington County Crisis Line at 503-291-9111 rather than 911. They can dispatch the Mobile Crisis Team — clinicians without law enforcement.

Center for Addictions Triage and Treatment (CATT)

  • Description: Comprehensive substance use treatment center operated by Washington County with community partners. Two locations:
    • Hillsboro Recovery Center — 5250 NE Elam Young Pkwy, Hillsboro (Solutions Group NW outpatient services, The Peer Company peer drop-in)
    • Beaverton Recovery Center — opened November 2025 (CODA, Inc. intensive services)
  • Services include: rapid access to detox, residential treatment, outpatient treatment, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), peer support, and housing navigation via Project Homeless Connect.

Harm Reduction
Washington County Harm Reduction Program

  • Oregon's Good Samaritan Law protects both the person administering naloxone and the person overdosing from prosecution.
